Mull’s permanent airstrip at Glenforsa has survived since being built in the mid-1960s, primarily being used by visiting light aircraft to the island. Loganair mounted three separate airline routes to here at different periods from 1966, connecting with Abbotsinch and Connel, until these services stopped at the end of the 1970s. Glenforsa retains strong links with a nearby hotel of the same name; plans have existed in the past to have its grass landing area hardened but such an idea has never materialised.
