St. Mawgan (including Trebelzue) (Newquay Cornwall)

Major

Did you know?

"

If ever there is a case of snatching victory out of the jaws of defeat, St Mawgan symbolises this as the original Trebelzue Airfield proved a disaster due to crosswinds and too short runways, requiring land further to the east to be requisitioned and so create a brand new airfield. Trebelzue however proved not a complete waste of time as it became a dispersal area thereafter.
