Lincolnshire Airfields Commemorated

Elsham Wolds and Woodhall Spa were commemorated with ABCT memorials in May, dedicated to the personnel and units who served there. Locations below:

Elsham Wolds - Alongside the J hangar at The Flarepath in the industrial estate. The J hangar is the only hangar left, a large curved roof building, and stands opposite Pipers Crisps.

Woodhall Spa - Woodhall Spa Airfield Nature Reserve, access to the reserve is off the B1192 (Tattershall Road, Woodhall Spa, LN4 4JT). Memorial is situated where two of the former runways cross.

More images can be seen on the individual airfield pages, by clicking the hyperlinks above. Many thanks to all who attended. We were particularly honoured to have Britain's last surviving Dambuster - Sq Ld George Leonard 'Johnny' Johnson - in attendance at Woodhall Spa. Our unveiling was part of a number of events marking the 75th Anniversary of the Dambusters Raid.
