Church Fenton, Coltishall, Ford, Leicester East, Lichfield, Newton and Weston-on-the-Green plus possibly Burn and Church Fenton face the terrible possibility of being selected as final choices for a Government plan due imminently. Very heavy public protests and criticism have already arisen about this extremely badly planned scheme which will not only needlessly destroy these priceless airfields – several of them still active – but is also simply not wanted by the general public. The environment will furthermore be greatly affected for the worse to undo all the excellent work these and all other airfields have already performed in this respect. ABCT is currently carrying out extensive defensive actions across the country: please support both the charity and local groups to stop this impractical plan in its tracks.
