During a busy weekend of unveiling memorials in Cumbria, the ABCT team were very fortunate to be invited to the
Solway Aviation Museum, based at Carlisle Airport. Run by the Solway Aviation Society, the museum holds a fantastic collection of flying memorabilia and planes, including some real aviation legends:

Inside the Museum you will find a huge amount of local information and a collection of model aircraft which includes one of every plane from the second world war.
We would like to thank our friends at the Solway Aviation Society for their support over the weekend and especially for opening the museum out of season and letting us climb aboard the Vulcan bomber - an experience that any aviation enthusiast will relish. The Society run educational courses for schools or interested partie,s in their own classroom and if you are into hiking, the team at Solway run tours over the local area to various air crash sites - please contact them for more information.
The Museum is open every weekend from April until the last weekend in October on a Friday, Saturday and Sunday, also on official English Bank Holidays.
Our opening times are 10:30 till 5:00pm (Last entry 4:15pm ).
Vulcan Bomber is open from 11.00 - 4.15 pm .
