Memorial Unveilings

ABCT’s Director General, Kenneth Bannerman, unveiled four memorials in England recently to coincide with the 100th anniversary of Britain’s airfields. Fambridge and Rivenhall in Essex and Leysdown and Bekesbourne in Kent were celebrated as part of the charity’s plan to erect a memorial at every disused airfield in Britain. This is one of the ways in which ABCT aims to preserve the memory of these places (and as far as is possible the actual sites and buildings themselves), and of the people based there, for future generations.

Do watch this space for details of more unveilings to come.
