// Captured: POW exhibition opening in Manchester

70 years on from the outbreak of WW2, the incredible stories of those held prisoner are being told in a major new exhibition. It opens soon at the Imperial War Museum North in Manchester and brings together the experiences of soldiers, sailors, airmen and, of course, civilian men, women and children caught up in the conflict. The impact on former prisoners and the legacy still affecting them, and their families, is explored and highlights include the first public display of items such as film footage of a POW camp for German internees in Nottinghamshire.
