Competition Rules

By agreeing to take part in the Competition ("Competition"), you agree to be bound by the Competition Rules ("Competition Rules") and by the decisions of the Airfields of Britain Conservation Trust ("the Charity") which are final in all matters relating to the Competition. The Charity reserves the right to disqualify any entrant and/or winner in its absolute discretion for any reason and without notice in accordance with the Competition Rules.

All entries must be sent in the specified manners as stated during the period in which the Competition is open and late or incomplete entries will be disqualified. Proof of posting (if relevant) shall not be deemed proof of delivery. No responsibility can be accepted for entries which are lost, delayed, misdirected or corrupted during delivery in the specified manners for any reason whatsoever.

Entries must be submitted by an individual (not via an agency or similar) aged 18 years or over. The Charity and the Competition sponsor ("Competition sponsor") both reserve the right in their discretion to substitute the stated prize with a prize of equivalent value.

The winning entry will be that which answers all 100 questions correctly or most closely meets the Competition criteria specified.

Unless otherwise stated, the Competition is open to all aged 18 years or over except (a) employees/associates of the Charity, (b) any third party appointed by the Charity to organise and/or manage the Competition and (c) the Competition sponsor.

By entering and/or winning the Competition, you:

grant the Charity, any third parties appointed by the Charity to organise and/or manage the Competition and the Competition sponsor permission to use your name and likeness (if required) in the announcement of the winner and for related promotional purposes; and

grant the Competition sponsor the right to use the personal information of the winner to send you information about their respective products and services which may be of interest to you. If you do not wish to receive this information, then inform the Competition sponsor either by email or by post.

accept that all entries will become the property of the Charity upon receipt and will not be returned.

Selection and disclosure of the name of the Competition winner will be decided as soon as possible after the Competition closes at midnight on January 31 2009.

If you are the winner of the Competition:

you may have to provide additional information (including, without limitation, proof of age or identity). Failure to provide additional information may result in your disqualification as a winner and an alternative winner will be selected.

the answers to the Competition will be published on the website as soon as possible after the Competition closes at midnight on January 31 2009.

the receipt by you of any prize is conditional upon you complying with any and all applicable laws, rules and regulations including, without limitation, the Competition Rules.

you acknowledge and agree that neither the Charity or the Competition sponsor or any of their employees, agents or subcontractors shall have any liability to you whatsoever in connection with your use and/or possession of your prize, provided that nothing in these Competition Rules shall exclude or limit the liability of any party for personal injury or death caused by negligence or for anything else which cannot be excluded or limited by law.

Unless otherwise stated, the Charity and the Competition sponsor are the promoters of the Competition.

If any of these Rules are deemed to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable, the affected rules shall be deleted from these Competition Rules but the remaining rules shall continue in full force and effect.

These Competition Rules are governed by English and Scottish law. Any disputes arising between the Charity and any third party in relation to these Competition Rules and/or the Competition shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdictions of the courts of England and Wales and Scotland (save that the Charity shall be entitled to take action against a third party in any other jurisdiction).
